How the calculator works

CTC is what the company spends on you in a year, not what you are paid. It includes variable pay that arrives later, if at all, and your employer's PF share, which goes into your PF account instead of your bank.

So the calculator first removes variable pay, then both PF shares, and spreads what is left over 12 months. Income tax depends on your regime and deductions, so it is not included. For the full picture, read CTC vs in-hand salary.

Common questions

Why is employer PF taken out of my CTC?
Because it is part of the cost to the company but is paid into your PF account, not your salary account.
Does this include income tax?
No. Tax depends on the regime you choose and your deductions. The result is your monthly pay before income tax and professional tax.
